So here is the full Halo 3 armor permutation collection.

Each armor has an individual drawing as well in the gallery which have gotten moved to scraps now that this is up.

I was quite happy when they announced the theater mode for the game. It was nice having a little 3D model to rotate and check out instead of the pain it was on the Halo 2 character collage I did. Most were based off some ingame stuff but after drawing so many of them certain parts (legs in particular) are easy to just sketch out.

Yeah, a truly innovative feature. I pray that it'll become standard in all games. Already miss in in GTA 4. Having a 3d reference helps.
I've drawn the armor a few times and like you said, it does become easier.
