My second pixel art thingy, this ones a 16x20 acrylic. These things are really easy to do once you do the annoying work of planning it all out. If you have some free time this would be a fun side project for any videogame fan. Doing this is nothing too serious but fun regardless. Still, its a homage to old videogame artist who were able to do soooo much with their limited tools, the music people too. The art and music in early videogames really should be looked at more, they hold up so well. I could go on more but for now this is just something light and fun.
Oh, and if it isn't obvious this is Megaman from the classic Capcom games. If you were cool you would jump when going through the doorways in the game.
I recently had to cringe and watch my girlfriend's younger brother beat the first Mega Man faster than I ever have. I felt old and ashamed, but he didn't once jump through the doorway. So, I think I'm still the better player.
i do a fair bit of pixel art myself, i agree its pretty fun and easy once u lay out the grid,
and i also agree on the music in the old games especialy Megaman, that had such energetic music.. very well composed, there are some cover bands around that play alot of the old classics..
Being a geek their music is great fun.
they do like metalish covers oh and i belive they also do the 1st level of F-Zero looove that tune,, soo energetic n upbeat and oh so 80's sounding
