Description
Evangelion is one of the best anime of all time. It ranks highly among my favorite pieces of fiction. Sure there were cool action scenes but the real meat of the series is the character drama. Discussions of self, interaction, and the broken nature of humanity.
I thought about doing a classic person posed before their giant mech shot but once I started thinking about why I really liked the show I went with a different take. This is supposed to be the scene where Rei communicates with Armisael amidst the sea of LCL.
Also I've already drawn each of the 3 main EVA so decided to focus on the character more.

i like the perspective on the hand that is closest to the view.
something about her chest throws me off. I'm not sure what. it looks flat, like its really taut which would be fine due to a tight, thick suit but at the same time cylindrical due to the transition between the edge of the right breast in the suit.
iono - or i could be seeing things. xD
as always, like the traditional feel of the piece, despite it being CG.
